60-Minute Practice Planning Templates

A practice without a written plan drifts toward whatever's easiest to run, not what the team actually needs.

A general 60-minute structure

  • 0-10 min: Dynamic warmup and movement prep
  • 10-25 min: Individual/positional skill work
  • 25-45 min: Team-level drills tied to last game's weakness
  • 45-55 min: Small-sided scrimmage or situational reps
  • 55-60 min: Cool-down and one coaching point to carry into the next practice

Write the plan before you arrive at the field - adjusting a written plan is easier than building one on the fly.
